Rolex made headlines at Watches & Wonders 2025 by unveiling its first entirely new sport model since 2012: the Land-Dweller. Boasting the brand’s high-frequency Calibre 7135 movement (with a 66-hour power reserve and Dynapulse escapement), this slim, integrated-bracelet design nods to vintage Oysterquartz styling while pushing technical boundaries. Available in sizes from 28 mm up to 41 mm and finished in eight pastel tones—Pistachio, Lavender, Turquoise and more—the Land-Dweller instantly became the talk of the watch world .
Sprite-Hulk GMT & Tiger Iron Editions
Rolex also surprised enthusiasts with a white-gold Sprite-Hulk GMT-Master II (ref. 126729VTNR), carrying over the beloved “Sprite” green-and-black bezel into a precious-metal case. Complementing it are Tiger Iron dials on both Everose and yellow-gold GMT-Masters—an eye-catching, banded stone face that elevates the classic dual-time design .
Bold New Daytona Dials
The Cosmograph Daytona received three striking updates:
White gold with a blue sunburst dial
Yellow gold with a green dial
Yellow gold on Oysterflex with a turquoise dial
These vibrant colourways refresh the Daytona’s racing pedigree without altering its iconic 40 mm silhouette .
Sky-Dweller & Datejust Tweaks
For fans of travel complications, a fresh green dial now graces the yellow-gold Sky-Dweller—available both on full gold and on Oysterflex. Meanwhile, the Datejust 31 ditches its floral diamond-set options in favour of a bold red sunburst dial set with diamonds, adding a contemporary flourish to Rolex’s most versatile line .
Why It Matters Today
These 2025 releases demonstrate Rolex’s dual focus on heritage and innovation. From the Land-Dweller’s technical leap to the playful pastel Oyster Perpetual dials and luxurious dial executions across its core ranges, Rolex is catering to a broad spectrum of collectors—whether they seek cutting-edge movements or striking aesthetic updates.
Stay tuned for next week’s blog, where we’ll explore market reaction and early secondary-market trends for these new models.
